Independence Day TV Specials - "A Nation Adrift"

Just ran across an incredible 90 minute video being shown on TBN network. I cannot recommend this video highly enough! It was on from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM EDT.

I have seen "A Nation Adrift" several times in the past, and have caught it on TBN, on or near Independence Day in the past. I've also seen it advertised on WorldNetDaily in the past.

Freepers, I highly recommend that you set up your VCR's and keep an eye out for the program during the Independence Day time frame. By the way, it's well worth purchasing!

Unfortunately I can't determine a rebroadcast time from the TBN website or TV Guide website. If anyone can find a rebroadcast time let me know.

Here's are a couple of reviews I ran across while doing a Google search on "A Nation Adrift." They're from an online reseller.

If you’re like many adults, you may wish from time to time that you had paid more attention during history class back in high school. Or, if you are presently parenting a high schooler, you may wish that your child would not pay attention during history class - because the Christian basis of so much of American history has been deleted or re-written. This video is an answer to your yearnings!

A Nation Adrift is a chronological view into the discovery, founding, development, and internal workings of America. Embellished with a great number and variety of visuals, this 90-minute video is a great summary of US history! You will: hear portions from Christopher Columbus’ personal diary, learn about the Character and religious leanings of the Founding Fathers, understand the events leading up to and ending the Civil War, see some of the changes wrought by the Industrial Revolution, see footage of the Wright brothers’ early flights, Henry Ford’s first assembly line, Thomas Edison’s first recorded words, the ravages of the Great Depression, the roots of the ACLU and Margaret Sanger’s Planned Parenthood, the atomic bombing of Japan to end W.W.II, and many other significant changes all the way up to modern day.

This video should be seen by every American because it contains information that will probably never again be presented in the secular classrooms of America.

Visually rich and fast-paced, A Nation Adrift provides a fascinating historical survey of the spiritual, social and technological changes that have molded America. You will be amazed by little-known facts about: Columbus, the Founding Fathers, the Civil War, the Industrial Revolution, the Wright brothers first flights, Henry Ford's first assembly line, the Great Depression, the atomic bombing of Japan, and much, much more! Totally illustrated. No "talking heads."

This eye-opening documentary shows that God's sovereign hand has been at work in this country. This 90-minute presentation easily breaks up into 6 segments: "Conceived in Liberty" (1607-1763), "Harvest of Freedom" (1764-1788), "A Perfect Union" (1789-1859), "A House Divided" (1860-1877), "Saving the Dream" (1915-1945), and "A Work in Progress" (1946-Present). Other material includes the founding of the ACLU and Planned Parenthood; and current events dealing with abortion, the homosexual revolution, secular humanism, and the Clinton administration.

Endorsements "A Nation Adrift is splendid. With its vital and timely message for Americans, its excellent production techniques, and its interest-holding approach, I expect it to have a major impact on audiences wherever it is shown." --D. James Kennedy, Ph.D., Coral Ridge Ministries

"...should be viewed in churches, homes and schools across the nation. This video illustrates how the forces of humanism have attacked America's foundation of faith..." --Don Wildman, President, American Family Association

THATS IT!!! THANK YOU!

I opened up in media player to tbn today and was awestruck by the quality of this video. But TBN has nothing about it on their website that I could find. Why is this thread not filled with hundreds of posts? That video was super. I hope to catch it again and try out this program in old Office97 that allows you to capture streaming videos. THANK YOU for posting this. I didn't know the name of the show!
